Q12. Can I start operating while my MPAJ application is pending?

You should not assume that submitting an application gives permission to operate. Wait until the required license and any other mandatory approvals have been obtained, unless MPAJ has explicitly confirmed that a particular approval arrangement applies to your case.

 

Q13. Do I need other licenses besides MPAJ approval?

Possibly. Depending on the activity, a business may also require approvals from agencies responsible for food safety, fire safety, manufacturing, tourism, education, construction or other regulated sectors. MPAJ premises licensing and sector-specific licensing serve different purposes.
